Released cross-border trade statistics for the first half of 2026 show that interior WPC grilles have become a star product in the global decorative building materials sector, with overall export volume jumping 27% year-on-year. As global consumers and commercial developers prioritize eco-friendly, low-upkeep decorative materials, traditional solid wood wall panels are gradually being replaced by recyclable wood-plastic composite grilles, pushing the whole industry into a new growth cycle.

Different overseas markets display distinct consumption tendencies. European countries lead the market in demand for sound-absorbing WPC grilles. With strict carbon neutrality targets and green building codes, many local office renovation projects, restaurant spaces and hotel guest rooms adopt acoustic WPC grilles as partition walls and background wall decorations. The composite material uses waste wood scraps and recycled plastic as raw materials, which helps construction projects obtain green energy-saving certification, so local designers increasingly recommend such products to clients instead of high-cost solid oak and walnut panels.

The North American market focuses on DIY installation WPC grille products. Local home improvement chains report that consumer orders for click-together WPC grille kits keep rising month by month. Homeowners favor the product's advantages of anti-mold, anti-termite and scratch-resistant performance, as these features perfectly fit long-term household use. Unlike solid wood, WPC grilles require no regular painting or waxing maintenance, greatly cutting post-installation spending for families.

Oceania and Southeast Asia serve as fast-growing emerging markets. In tropical coastal areas, high humidity and strong ultraviolet rays easily damage natural timber, while weather-resistant co-extruded WPC grilles can maintain stable color and texture for decades. Local villa developers, café operators and shopping mall renovators place bulk orders for customized-size grilles, covering indoor TV walls, corridor cladding and store front interior decoration.

Product upgrading continuously expands market space. New generation export WPC grilles add formaldehyde-free, fire-retardant and noise-reduction functions, with dozens of wood grain and matte color options available for personalized customization. Compared with traditional decorative panels, WPC grilles weigh lighter and allow quick cutting and assembly, shortening construction time by nearly half.

However, the industry still faces multiple challenges. International environmental certification, fire performance testing and anti-UV standard inspections raise production costs for exporters. Fluctuating prices of recycled plastic raw materials also create unstable profit margins. Industry analysts forecast that multi-functional, fully certified customized WPC grille products will occupy over 60% of global export share within two years, and integrated matching decorative wall systems will become the core competitive direction of cross-border WPC trade.
